Women value their hair more than anything else in their body. Why do you think some women can’t go out of their houses on a bad hair day? Why do they spend endless money just to get the perfect hair cut? Why do they panic at the sight of hair falling or hair on the drain? Hair loss has become one of the increasing problems in dermatology and cosmetics nowadays. Technically, normal hair fall ranges from 100-125 hairs a day. This is due to the fact that hair really does fall out after 2 to 3 months. Extreme hair loss, however, is another concern. Some of the possible causes of hair loss in women include stress, illness, pregnancy, hormonal imbalance, surgery and medication. Some cases of hair loss are temporary and can be treated but some are permanent, women just have to live with it. However, the good thing is, women’s hair loss is not as severe as men’s baldness. Unlike men, women’s hair fall are usually scattered and not concentrated on just one area. Plus, women are known to be experts at concealing their physical weaknesses so this should not be a major catastrophe.

Stress really does play a major role in women’s hair loss. Therefore, it is necessary that women should know the ways on how to manage their stress levels. Enrolling in classes that support this idea will prove very beneficial for the sake of good hair-do. For other reasons of hair fall, it may still be best to consult a doctor before administering any cure. The hair is really very sensitive; you don’t want to end up losing more hair than what was supposedly intended.

Other minor reasons for hair loss include hair treatments such as dying, straightening and many hair modifications. Blow-drying has also been known to cause excessive hair fall in women. The long-term effects of these procedures are known to lead into serious cases of hair problems such as excessive hair fall that could eventually lead to alopecia.
